The early christians were exhorted by Peter, the rock upon which the church was built, to heed the light that shines in the darkness. To apprehend and observe the word of prophecy in a gross world. Doing so “until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts”, (2 Peter 1:19).
When Jerome composed his Latin Vulgate translation of the bible he rendered this last sentence as, “loco donec dies inlucescat et lucifer oriatur in cordibus vestris”. That is, until Lucifer rises in your hearts.
The herald of the morning, the day star, the light bringer, is the planet we know today as Venus, whose twin aspect is Noctifer, the night bringer.
